Fun in the Country

 

 

 

Blakely and Brad, nephews, visiting from Delaware, playing with grandkids out in the country. Fun!

ALL STARS TOURNEY

Abby, our granddaughter, in the 11-12 girls fastpitch softball got 2nd place in our state tournament. the 9-10 yr old marion county girls did, too! this is farther than marion county ever went and we are real proud of em! Also, Abby made the winning run and got the gameball in the first game of the tourney! This was in Franklin, Ky. Grampa and I stayed down there the whole week, were at every game, and had a a great vacation! I think I lost these picts on my computer, so above picture is the team with 1st place trophies from regionals.

Daisy, our doggie

This blog would not be complete without some space for our doggie! Daisy is a rat terrier and loves to play fetch. Also, I tied a tennis ball to a thin 6' rope, then to an old broom handle. I swing this around in circles and she chases it and runs very fast! This little dog also loves repeatedly jumping 6 feet high when I hold the ball in the air. Daisy also loves tearing up squeaky toys. When she starts on one, she is very diligent and will work as long as 2 hours, or as long as it takes, to get to the insides and the squeaker. She throws this squeaky toy in the air, play with it, then chews, chews, chews until she gets it dissected! It's hilarious to watch her! When she gets to the squeaker, she just removes it, then smiles and rests. Her favorite pastime, though, is riding on the back of my motorcycle! I have a pet carrier on the back for her. Every time I even walk near the parked bike, she jumps on it and begs for a ride! She's a great traveling companion and passionately loves riding! Her favorite foods are Iam and Science Diet and her favorite treats are salmon doggie treats. Daisy's coat and skin are in excellent condition. She is 5 years old and in excellent health.
