Third Chemo yesterday, VA, Lexington

The chemo infusion room was full yesterday.  It was so sad.  All old guys, Viet Nam vets, being treated for cancers related to Agent Orange.  Wars really suck!  The nurses were very kind and there were 2 baskets of hand knit hats for those who lost their hair.  :(

They were very behind and slow due to staff taking off for Christmas Holidays and it being full, so we got to work on patience.

The highlight of the day was Erskine, our dear friend, visiting us!  He rides a BMW and teaches at UK and we were so glad to see him!  He managed to talk me into leaving the area.  He took me to the food coop.  That was great! I got wheat grass for the cats and one of our favorite drinks, keifer, a yogurt drink.
We then went and met his acupuncture office and acupunctuists.

When Blake was done with chemo, he lead us, him on bike, us in car, in the light drizzle, to a great restaurant called Saul Good and bought us dinner!

The holiday traffic  in Lexington was totally crowded and horrid, but that didn't bother Erskine a bit!  He's a very experienced rider and has done most of the USA & Canada many times!

Erskine made our 3rd chemo a great day and we are so grateful!  We love and appreciate Erskine so much!

This morning, the day after chemo, Blake is sleeping in.  I know it was a really big day for him.  He has a new bump on his finger reminding us the battle of his life is going on in his body.  We appreciate all the prayers.
